Barclays is one of the largest UK banks, offering the full suite of financial services products.
You can open a current account, savings account or take out a loan with Barclays. You can’t get a credit card directly through Barclays, but its sister brand Barclaycard can provide this.
Barclays offers mortgages too, under The Woolwich brand, which it bought in 2006. While it does use The Woolwich as a trading name for this part of its business, in practice you’re getting a mortgage from Barclays.
It has below average customer happiness and trust scores which means that it is usually ranked in the bottom half of our tables.
The bank claims to be on a drive to improve transparency and customer service, but still has much to do in most of the key product areas. Our ratings indicate a small increase in customer trust over time, but customer happiness hasn’t shown signs of drastic improvement.
