AXA is a large multinational insurance company based in Paris, France. It is one of the world's oldest insurance institutions, having been founded in 1816.

AXA offers a number of different insurance, investment and pension products in the UK.

It only took on the AXA moniker around 30 years ago, and now owns various brands, including Swiftcover. It also acts as an underwriter for many other insurance brokers.
