American Airlines' AAdvantage credit cards are run by MBNA in the UK. The card offers air miles for every pound spent on the card.
You get 5,000 AAdvantage Bonus Miles when you make your first purchase with the card. This offer could be withdrawn at any time, so check before you apply.
Also bear in mind that loyalty programs can be altered at short notice. You might find that your points have suddenly become worth a lot less. It all depends on whether the provider decides to tweak the system.
MBNA doesn't fare particularly well in Fairer Finance's rankings. However, customers of the American Airlines card generally have a much more positive experience with the company.
Unfortunately, the cards no longer qualifies for any Fairer Finance Ribbon - as it has recently seen a fall in its overall score. This has allowed a fair few of its competitors to overtake it.
Still, if you're a regular American Airlines traveler and are in the market for a new credit card, this could be a good choice for you.
