Clydesdale Bank is owned by CYBG, which also owns the UK's Yorkshire Bank. CYBG floated on the London Stock Exchange in February 2016.
In personal loans Clydesdale qualified for a Bronze Fairer Finance Ribbon. Its customers are happy with their experience and Clydesdale also gained much higher trust scores in this segment of its business, when compared to its savings and bank accounts. If it was able to improve its transparency score it could cement its place as one of the best providers of personal loans, but for the moment finds itself respectably placed in our tier of Bronze providers.
Conversely, in bank accounts, credit cards and savings accounts, Clydesdale remains towards the bottom end of our tables. This is due to sub-par trust scores and very average customer happiness on top of mediocre transparency ratings.
Clydesdale and Yorkshire's average record on complaints also pulls their scores down in these product areas.
