abrdn, formerly known as Standard Life Aberdeen, is one of the oldest and largest investment companies in the world.
Founded in 1825 and based in Edinburgh, it is listed on the London Stock exchange and is a part of the FTSE 100.
Originally called Standard Life, it merged with Aberdeen Asset Management in 2017 and the company was renamed Standard Life Aberdeen until 2021.
