James Daley has been a consumer campaigner and financial journalist for the past 14 years. Before launching Fairer Finance, he worked for the consumer group, Which?, where he campaigned for a better deal for customers of banks and insurers in the wake of the financial crisis. James is regularly interviewed on national television and radio, and has been one of the team of financial experts for the successful BBC show, Rip-off Britain, for the past three seasons. Before working at Which?, James spent five years as a business and finance journalist at ###em/em### newspaper, latterly as the paper’s personal finance editor and cycling columnist.
Andrew Freeman has over 20 years of experience as a think tank director, senior banking consultant, risk management adviser and journalist. As well as being a director of Fairer Finance, Andrew runs a new financial think tank, The Finance Foundation and is also MD of his own research company, Cambridge Research Associates. In 2012 he was appointed as a Risk Fellow at the Centre for Risk Studies, part of the Judge Business School at the University of Cambridge. Prior to setting up Fairer Finance, Andrew was the founding director of the think tank, Demos Finance – a role he took after spells at Deloitte and McKinsey, where he was a founding member of the firm's Global Risk practice. Andrew started his career in journalism, working at the Financial Times, before going on to spend 14 years at The Economist.
