Aviva
Aviva is one of the largest insurance companies in the UK. It’s also one of the oldest and can trace its history back to the Hand in Hand Fire & Life Insurance Society, which was founded in 1696.
Aviva in its current form was created by a merger of the insurance companies Norwich Union and Commercial Union in 2000. The name Aviva was adopted in 2002.
It is a publicly limited company, listed on the London Stock Exchange and a member of the FTSE 100 index.
As well as insurance, it offers savings and investments products.
