Halifax doesn't just offer banking services, but also provides various insurance products. These are backed by several different underwriters.
Halifax's home insurance is underwritten by Lloyds Bank General Insurance, its travel insurance by AXA.
Its car insurance is arranged and administered by BISL Limited, which owns Budget Insurance and Dial Direct. Customers are passed on by BISL to one of a number of insurers on its panel.
