Yorkshire Bank was founded in 1859.
As of 2005 it is now a trading name used by Clydesdale Bank plc, but it will be phased out by 2020 out in favour of the Virgin Money Brand.
It is owned by CYBG, which floated on the London Stock Exchange in February 2016. CYBG was formed in 2016 by National Australia Bank who had acquired Clydesdale Bank in 1987 and Yorkshire Bank in 1995.
Yorkshire Bank offers a range of banking products including current accounts, savings, personal loans, mortgages and credit cards. It also offers car, home, travel and life insurance.
