Royal Bank of Scotland
Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) is one of the largest banks in the UK, and was founded in 1727. It was established in its current form in 1969, following a merger with the National Commercial Bank of Scotland.
RBS is the main brand of Royal Bank of Scotland Group, which has its headquarters in Edinburgh. It is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a member of the FTSE 100.
RBS offers the full range of banking products, from current and savings accounts to personal loans, mortgages and credit cards. It also offers a range of insurance products.
As well as the RBS brand, the Royal Bank of Scotland group also owns Natwest and Ulster Bank.
