Barclays
Barclays is one of the largest UK banks. It is a publicly limited company, listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a member of the FTSE 100 index.
It traces its origins back to the late seventeeth century. James Barclay, who the business is named after, became a partner in 1736. It is based in London’s Canary Wharf district.
The company offers a full suite of financial products from current accounts to mortgages, insurance and investment services. It offers credit cards through its sister brand Barclaycard.
